the fp6385 is a high-efficiency 1mhz synchronous step-down dc/dc converter that provides wide input voltage range from 2.7v to 6v and capable of delivering output current up to 3.5a. the 100% duty cycle feature provides low dropout operation.
the fp6385 can support high efficiency at light load and integrates main switch and synchronous switch with very low rds(on) to minimize the conduction loss at pulse width modulation.
the fp6385 fault protection includes cycle-by-cycle current limit, short circuit latch protection, uvlo and thermal shutdown. the internal soft-start function prevents inrush current at turn-on. this device uses current mode control scheme which provides fast transient response. internal compensation function reduces external compensatory components and simplifies the design process. in shutdown mode, the supply current is about 1μa.
